FleetBoost

Faster PCs — and work that never exists in only one place

FleetBoost does two jobs on a Windows fleet. It measures the real bottlenecks, applies safe reversible optimizations — memory, storage, startup and power — and proves the gain with a plain-English before/after report. And with Safekeep it finds work that exists in exactly one place, then copies it when those folders change — plus a daily catch-up if the PC was off. Both halves share the same honesty rule — if it can't be measured, it doesn't ship.

How FleetBoost works

From a single PC checkup to a fleet QBR — measure, optimize, protect, and prove. No install needed to walk through it here.

1 · Measure on the PC

FleetBoost runs a Truth Report on each Windows PC — boot pressure, RAM, disk health, startup load. Optional Cloud ingest sends a hashed machine id and health measurements — never file names or contents.

  • Every verdict cites the measurements behind it
  • Seat counts are advisory — over-seat never switches anything off
  • Signed data packs refresh safe-lists without a new install

Why teams choose FleetBoost

  • Measure → optimize → prove, with a before/after report
  • Safekeep: find the work that exists on only one disk, then copy it when folders change
  • Honest GREEN / YELLOW / RED verdict per machine
  • Show your company name and logo on Center and on the reports you email
  • Licence names a person and email, not only the company — with a daily reminder (Center or a Windows toast) in the last month
  • Silent rollout pack: licence, branding, Safekeep folder and priority apps in one Intune/GPO file
  • FleetBoost Cloud (Managed): allocated-to and days left per seat, Needs attention when any licence is inside 30 days, plus a private customer portal link in the licence email
  • Signed data-pack updates — safe-lists stay current without a new install
  • Priority apps — the software you live in never slows down
  • Every change journaled and one-click reversible
  • Scheduled check-ups: daily, weekly or monthly, your day and time
  • Upkeep — keep a tab on performance and adjust small drifts; a full optimize stays a separate action
  • Activity log — see when each automatic job last ran, and whether anything has quietly stopped
  • Watch a run happen — each stage of a measure or optimize, and how long it took
  • Antivirus check — is the antivirus Windows already includes switched on, current, and not quietly ignoring parts of the disk?
  • Managed fleets see stalled machines across every PC at once, without opening any of them

Prove the gain

Every optimization runs measure → optimize → measure and writes a before/after report anyone can read — including the numbers that got worse.

Safekeep: the risk nobody measures

A free scan finds work that exists on exactly one disk. Add extra folders Safekeep missed — a drawings drive, a mapped share — and they are included with automatic discovery, never instead of it. On our own machines the scan found 97% of a folder was rebuildable junk — and 8 of 20 projects had no offsite copy at all. Nobody knew.

Copy when folders change

Protect now copies everything at risk into a folder you own. Or tick copy-when-folders-change: after saving goes quiet (~45 seconds) Safekeep copies only what changed, with a daily catch-up if the laptop was off. Two copies never run at once, and nothing is ever deleted from the backup. Restore is never licence-locked.

Straight to OneDrive, with no sync client on the PC

Connect the account once and the weekly archive goes up on its own, overnight, so it does not compete with your working day. Nothing is mirrored back down: the ordinary desktop client drags the whole of OneDrive onto the disk, which is the last thing a machine you called us about needs — and IT will often not allow that client on a managed endpoint anyway. FleetBoost is given a folder of its own and cannot reach anything else in the account; Microsoft enforces that, not us. Each PC gets its own folder inside it, so two computers sharing one account never overwrite each other, and you can tell at a glance which machine an archive came from. It is an extra destination and never a replacement, so the copy on your own disk keeps working with the power off. A first upload of a large archive runs for hours, and laptops sleep, get shut and go flat — so the upload keeps its place and carries on from where it stopped instead of starting again, and nothing already sent is sent twice. The overnight run also wakes the machine for its slot rather than quietly missing it, and the activity log says plainly whether a copy is still sending, paused, or finished. Every upload is checked by reading it back before it counts as done. And getting files back never needs us, a licence, or anything of ours running — sign in to onedrive.com, download the archive and open it. It is an ordinary .zip with a plain instructions file inside.

See the work, not a spinner

Measuring and optimizing now show each stage as it happens — memory, storage, responsiveness, load — with the time each one took. A finished stage keeps its time, the running one counts up, and a stage that has not started shows no number rather than a zero that would read as measured. An optimize takes two to four minutes behind an administrator prompt; it is no longer something you have to take on trust, and the report opens when the run actually finishes.

Antivirus check — hygiene, not another antivirus

FleetBoost is not an antivirus and scans for nothing. Every Windows PC already includes one that independent labs rate well; what nobody does is check that it is working. FleetBoost reports whether it is switched on, up to date, tamper-protected and genuinely inspecting files, and what it has been told to ignore — an exclusion sitting in a downloads or temp folder is worth knowing about. It also finds security software Windows never registered, which is commoner than it sounds: a product can be installed and running while Windows Security lists nothing at all. It never recommends excluding a folder to go faster — that makes a PC less safe, and the trade belongs to your administrator, not to us.

Proof it is still running

Automation you cannot see is automation you cannot trust. The Activity log shows when every automatic job last ran and gives each one a plain state: running, never scheduled, overdue, failed, or its Windows task missing. Software that quietly stops working is worse than software that never started, because nobody finds out until the day they need it — and a PC that was simply switched off is never reported as a fault.

Copies you can actually rely on

Every Safekeep copy is re-read and compared against the original, and anything that could not be copied is named with the reason — an unverified backup is a rumour. Work buried in long folder paths is copied too: Windows stops most tools at 260 characters, so those files are quietly left behind elsewhere. On one real machine that was 42 files nobody knew were unprotected.

Know what to replace

An honest GREEN / YELLOW / RED verdict shows which PCs software can fix, which need a ₹3,000 SSD, and which to stop spending on.

FleetBoost Cloud, for Managed fleets

Live health of every PC, worst first. Each seat shows who the licence is allocated to and how many days are left. A Needs attention queue surfaces RED machines, silent agents, stalled machines — reporting perfectly while one of their automatic jobs has quietly stopped, which no threshold would ever catch — over-seat licences, and any seat inside 30 days of expiry. SoftBoost trends show pressure-gain before and after. Your team gets a private read-only portal (health, allocated-to, days left, printable QBR) from a link in the licence email — not the Alpha Web admin login — and we get alerted when a machine turns RED, a licence goes over seats, or a seat needs renewal.

Your name on it

On Licence, tick to show your company name and logo next to FleetBoost in Center and on the before/after report, the Data Risk Report and the machine report — the document a director keeps. It stays on that PC. The signed licence can also name a person and email. When 30 days or fewer remain, Center reminds you once a day, and the scheduled checkup shows a Windows toast if Center is not open.

One file to set up a PC

Export a rollout pack from Licence (or fleetboost setup --export). It carries the licence key, company mark, Safekeep destination and priority apps. Apply it on the next PC, or deploy fleetboost setup --apply via Intune or GPO — four clicks become one IT action.

Priority apps

Tick the software you live in — AutoCAD, Tally, your billing system — and FleetBoost keeps it loaded and preferred at every launch.

Runs your way — and stays current

On demand, or automatically daily, weekly or monthly — on the day and at the time you choose. Upkeep watches the PC and makes small adjustments (not a full optimize) and skips while someone is working. Safekeep copies shortly after chosen folders change, with a daily catch-up. Signed data packs refresh safe-lists without a new install. A new program version is a separate download of FleetBoost-Setup.exe — run it over the existing install; your licence and reports stay put.

Safe by design

No standby-list purging, no registry roulette, no kernel drivers. Changes are allowlisted, journaled and revertible, and a SAFETY document lists every possible change for your IT team.

Frequently asked questions

Do you appoint distributors and resellers?

Yes — we are actively appointing distribution partners globally and regionally, on exclusive or non-exclusive territory terms. Partners get distributor margins, deal registration, free NFR evaluation licences for demos, and full sales and technical onboarding. Write to us with your territory and the market you serve.

What is Safekeep, and is it extra?

Safekeep answers a question backup vendors don't: which machines hold work that exists in exactly one place. The scan and the Data Risk Report are free forever and change nothing — protection is the paid part, at ₹700 per PC per year alongside FleetBoost, or ₹1,260 standalone if you want protection without optimization. You can add or exclude folders. Copies run when you press Protect now, shortly after chosen folders change, and once a day if the PC was off. Two copies never stack, and restore is never licence-locked.

Do we get a login to FleetBoost Cloud?

You do not get the Alpha Web admin password — that console sees every client. On Managed, the licence email includes a private portal link for your organisation only: read-only fleet health, allocated-to, days left, and a printable QBR. Bookmark it; if it stops working, ask us for a replacement (the old link is then revoked).

What does FleetBoost Managed include that Standard doesn't?

Managed adds FleetBoost Cloud: a Needs attention queue (RED machines, silent agents, over-seat licences, seats inside 30 days of expiry, ageing trials), allocated-to and days-left on every fleet row, SoftBoost before/after trends, printable QBR reports, and a private read-only portal for your team (health + QBR) — the join link arrives in the licence email; it is not the Alpha Web admin login. Also hardware quote drafts from the shortlist, webhook alerts for new RED, over-seat or renewal events, automatic monthly optimization, silent Intune/GPO deploy with a rollout pack (licence, branding, Safekeep folder, priority apps) and fleet binding, fleet keys and contacts CRM for your Alpha Web team, a quarterly review call, and priority phone support.

Will FleetBoost close my open applications?

Never. FleetBoost does not close, kill or restart anything you have open — there is no risk to unsaved work.

I'm working in a heavy app like AutoCAD — will FleetBoost take memory from it?

No — the opposite. Memory reclaim only targets invisible background processes (updaters, sync agents, idle helpers). Anything with a window on screen is automatically excluded, and the freed memory goes to the program you are actually using.

Will it delete my files, photos or documents?

No. Cleanup deletes only from a fixed allowlist of system caches (temp files older than 24 hours, update leftovers, thumbnail caches). Documents, photos, downloads and the Recycle Bin are never touched, and shortcut/junction folders are never followed.

Can everything be undone?

Every setting change is journaled with its previous value and reversible with one command. The one honest exception: deleted temp files can't be un-deleted, so the journal stores an audit of exactly what was removed instead.

Is it safe to run on production machines?

Yes. FleetBoost never purges the standby list or touches risky internals — every change is allowlisted, journaled and reversible, each run produces a before/after report, and a SAFETY document lists every possible change for your IT team.

Can it make my processor faster?

No — and neither can any software; tools claiming to are selling snake oil. FleetBoost instead clears the background junk competing for the processor, sets the right power plan on desktops, and tells you honestly when the CPU itself is the limit.

What about fan, heat or battery?

Fans are firmware territory — FleetBoost measures rather than pretends: it reports machine temperature and battery health (capacity remaining vs new), flagging worn batteries for replacement. On laptops it never alters power or battery settings.

My PC is old and slow — will FleetBoost fix it?

Sometimes, and when it can't it says so. Every machine gets an honest verdict: GREEN (software fixed it), YELLOW (a cheap SSD or RAM upgrade will transform it), or RED (replace it — optimization would waste your money). Every verdict cites its measurements.

Is this another free "RAM booster"?

No. Those tools purge Windows caches to fake a number while making the PC slower. FleetBoost measures first, changes only what is measurably wrong, re-measures, and shows both numbers — including any that got worse, with the reason explained.

Does it run all the time and slow the PC down?

Out of the box, optimization runs only when you start it. If you want automation you choose the cycle: a health check-up daily, weekly or monthly, on the day and at the time you pick (say Wednesday 09:30), which measures and reports but never optimizes. Automatic optimization is separate, off by default, and strictly opt-in. Safekeep can also copy shortly after chosen folders change; that watcher is off until you turn it on.

Does it send data anywhere?

Nothing about your documents leaves the PC — never file names, never folder names, never contents. Optional fleet reporting (Managed / when a Cloud address is configured) sends health measurements, a one-way machine hash, and the licence facts already on the signed key (allocated-to, optional contact, expiry). Never user names from Windows. Separately, a seat check-in sends only the licence number, that same one-way machine hash, and the FleetBoost version. The hash cannot be turned back into a PC name, user name or serial. Nothing else, ever.

How many PCs does a licence cover?

The seat count is signed into the licence and cannot be edited. Each PC that can reach FleetBoost Cloud reports in and is shown as e.g. "PC 3 of 10". If more PCs are in use than were paid for, FleetBoost says so — and keeps working. Nothing is switched off; it is simply a note that you need more seats. A PC with no internet is never counted and carries on normally.

How does FleetBoost stay current?

Safe-lists (startup items, rebuildable files, never-touch programs) are refreshed by signed data packs — data only, never program code. Packs that fail the Alpha Web signature are refused. They arrive during a scheduled check-up, or you can fetch one on demand. Offline PCs can apply a pack file by hand. New versions of the program itself are a separate download of FleetBoost-Setup.exe — run it over the existing install; your licence and reports stay put. FleetBoost never replaces its own program files behind your back.

What is Upkeep?

Upkeep watches the PC and fixes small drifts: it re-enables TRIM if it was turned off, restores a High Performance power plan only if a full optimize already applied it, trims large background working sets only when RAM is actually tight, and re-asserts the priority apps you chose. It is not a full optimize. A scheduled pass skips while someone is using the PC, or if it already ran in the last four hours.

How do I install FleetBoost?

Download FleetBoost-Setup.exe and run it. It installs like any Windows app (Start Menu and Settings › Apps). The usual folder is shown; you can browse to another. A trial activates on first run. After you buy, open Licence and paste the key from your email — do not copy a licensed program folder onto other PCs. IT: deploy FleetBoost.msi silently (msiexec /i FleetBoost.msi /qn, optional INSTALLDIR=) or unzip FleetBoost-Trial.zip and run Install-FleetBoost.cmd.

How do we install FleetBoost on many PCs?

Use the MSI: msiexec /i FleetBoost.msi /qn (per-machine, Program Files). Set INSTALLDIR if you want another folder. Intune and GPO can assign that MSI. The zip plus Install-FleetBoost.cmd is still there if you already package Win32 apps that way. People installing one PC should run FleetBoost-Setup.exe, not the MSI.

Does it need drivers or a reboot?

No kernel drivers, ever. FleetBoost-Setup.exe registers it in the Start Menu and Settings › Apps, and it uninstalls from there. Most optimizations apply immediately; a few (like the pagefile) take effect after the next reboot, which the report clearly notes.

What does the trial include?

The full Windows app with a 15-day licence built into the installer — it activates by itself the first time FleetBoost runs. Download FleetBoost-Setup.exe, run it, then open FleetBoost from the Start Menu. Paid licences: after install, open Licence and paste the key from your email. One trial per PC; measurement and reporting stay free forever. Partners who need more time after a trial get an NFR evaluation licence with a fixed end date.

If Safekeep misses a folder that matters, can I add it?

Yes. Add it on Protect my work. Extra folders are copied with the rest of the scan — in addition to automatic discovery, never instead of it. Exclude a films folder the same way. Those choices stick for Protect now, live copies, and the daily catch-up.

What happens when the licence expires?

Optimization and new protected copies pause until renewal. Measurement, reports, verdicts, undo and restore keep working forever. In the last 30 days, FleetBoost reminds you once a day until a new licence is installed — in Center if it is open, or as a Windows toast from the scheduled checkup if it is not. Licence > Licence details shows who the licence is allocated to, the signed contact if one was named, and the validity dates. Managed Cloud also flags those seats on the fleet board.

Can we put our company name and logo on FleetBoost?

Yes. On Licence, tick “Show my company name and logo next to FleetBoost”, type the organisation name, and optionally choose a PNG or JPEG. It appears in the header of FleetBoost Center and on the reports you email (before/after, Data Risk Report, machine report). It stays on that PC. The licence window still shows the name Alpha Web issued the licence to, and can also show a signed person and email. To put the same mark on every new PC, export a rollout pack and apply it (or deploy it with Intune or GPO).
