Privacy Policy
What we collect, what we never collect, how long we keep it and how to say no. Written to be read, not to be survived.
Who we are
Alpha Web Innovations Private Limited ("Alpha Web", "we") is an IT and office-automation company registered in India, with offices in India and the UAE. If you have a question about this policy or want your data removed, write to gm@alphawebin.com.
What the Resolve agent sends from a PC
If you use AWI Resolve, the agent installed on each PC can send us a periodic health summary. Before it sends anything, the support window asks the person using that PC, in plain English, and remembers their answer. Until they answer, nothing is sent. If they decline, nothing is sent and Resolve works exactly the same.
When it is allowed, the health summary contains: the PC's name, its Windows version, whether antivirus and firewall are switched on, how many security detections and pending Windows updates there are, how many local administrator accounts exist (a count, not the names), how many devices Windows reports as faulty, free disk and memory, and the number of printers installed.
It never sends your files, emails, documents, photographs, browsing history, passwords, licence keys, or anything typed into the Resolve support window.
Support sessions
When someone asks Resolve for help, what they type and what Resolve finds on that PC are processed so the AI can diagnose the problem, and a written report of the session is kept so you have a record of what was checked and what changed.
Support sessions are processed using Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic processes the request to generate a response and does not use it to train their models.
We may keep an anonymised note of the diagnostic method that solved a problem — which checks mattered, in what order — so future problems are solved faster. Before any such note is stored it is stripped of PC names, user names, file paths, network addresses, email addresses, licence keys and your organisation's name, and it is discarded rather than stored if anything identifying survives that check.
What we collect when you buy
If you buy from us we collect your name, work email, phone number, company name and billing details, and keep records of what you bought as required by Indian tax law. Card and bank details are handled by our payment provider and never reach our servers.
How long we keep it
Health summaries are kept while your licence is active and for 12 months afterwards. Support session reports are kept for 24 months so you can audit what was done. Purchase and tax records are kept for 8 years, as Indian law requires. Anonymised diagnostic notes carry no personal data and are kept indefinitely.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
We use a small number of providers to run the service: Anthropic (AI processing for support sessions), our cloud hosting provider, our payment provider, and our email provider. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
If you are a client of an IT services company that manages your PCs through Resolve, that company can see the activity on your PCs — that is the service they provide you. They cannot see any other company's data, and no other company can see yours.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Write to us and we will respond within 30 days.
You can turn off health reporting at any time from the Resolve support window, without affecting anything else the product does.
Trial and evaluation
Trial installations are covered by exactly this policy — the same disclosure, the same consent question, and the same right to decline or delete. We may use health summaries from trial PCs to understand which organisations would benefit from Resolve and to contact them about it. You can decline health reporting on a trial and the trial still works in full.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we will update this page and — where the change is material — say so in the product before it takes effect.
